As the debut release of Leith Links and Far Shore Recordings, Fruitful Waters’ sets a sonic signature deeply rooted in heavy grooves and playful melodies that draw on the modern italo and house sounds that are emerging from Melbourne.

Breezy opens the EP with off-kilter synth work that is couriered along with a relentless bassline groove that leads dance floors to take-off. Double Damage follows by bringing the energy up to a cruising altitude through its more atmospheric moments and its fresh take on classic italo tricks. Monofunktional delves deeper into a driving peak time roller that wavers into harsher territory yet maintains a constant devotion to its grooves. Sunsailing is a trip through a maddening soundscape defined through its twisting melodies and screeching pads. Monofunktional (Idiot at Altitude Mix) is a downtempo twist on the aggressive driving forces of the original, forgoing the filling four-to-the-floor beat for a spacious break beat and filling the aural space through dubbed out echoes. Together these tracks weave a style defined by persistent bass lines and near non-stop kicks, the foundations of Far Shore and by extension, a good time!
